Les Etats-Unis et les Résultats Préliminaires du Deuxième Tour

La publication par le Conseil Electoral Provisoire (CEP), des résultats préliminaires du second tour des élections est une autre étape importante alors que les Haïtiens avancent vers la reconstruction de leur pays.

Les rapports des observateurs haïtiens et internationaux, ont à l’unanimité signalé que, alors qu’il y avait des cas d’irrégularités et de fraudes le 20 mars dernier, ces cas ont été isolés et réduits, en particulier par rapport au premier tour du scrutin.

Les États-Unis demandent à tous les acteurs politiques de résoudre les questions en suspens, relatives aux résultats électoraux à travers le processus de contestation.  Le peuple haïtien a fait preuve d’une grande persévérance et de la patience tout au long de ce processus, et nous espérons qu’il continuera à s’exprimer pacifiquement.

Les États-Unis se tiennent du côté du peuple haïtien dans ses efforts pour reconstruire son pays et pour concrétiser sa vision d’une nation plus stable, plus démocratique et plus prospère.

Statement of the United States on the Preliminary Results of the Second Round of the Elections in Haiti

The announcement by the Conseil Electoral Provisoire (CEP) of the preliminary results of the second round of the elections is another important milestone as the people of Haiti move forward to rebuild their country.

Election-day accounts by Haitian and international observers uniformly reported that, while there were cases of irregularities and fraud on March 20, these cases were isolated and reduced, especially when compared to the first round of voting.

The United States calls upon all political actors to resolve any outstanding questions of the electoral results through the contestation process.  The Haitian people have shown great perseverance and patience throughout this process, and we hope that they continue to express themselves peacefully.

The United States stands by the people of Haiti in their efforts to rebuild their country and realize their vision of a more stable, democratic, and prosperous nation.
