I’m pleased to share that I’ll be speaking at the American Translators Association’s upcoming annual conference.

My presentation, “Rare Language Access in U.S. Legal Settings: The Haitian Creole Experience,” will explore how migration histories and individual language backgrounds shape communication needs in U.S. legal proceedings.
Drawing on my experience as a Haitian Creole legal interpreter and founder of THE JF TEAM, I’ll discuss language identification, interpreter qualifications, and practical challenges in courtroom and remote interpreting.
I look forward to exchanging experiences with fellow interpreters and connecting with agencies and legal language professionals.
Will you be attending?
I’d welcome the opportunity to meet.
